Then...
I realized I took way too many pictures! I had such a hard time narrowing it down. Once I did make "the cut", I still had more than I needed, and that's including THREE collages! Someone needs to take the camera away from me!
Somehow, I was able to pull it together and finish the layouts. There's less journaling than usual so I added more word stickers to capture the moment. Gotta love stickers!
Normally, I don't do much with inserts. However, I did manage to add a few since I went OVERBOARD in the picture taking category! For the most part, the inserts are pictures taken from a little sleepover my daughter had. I decided not include those pictures in this post since I didn't have permission to share the kids' faces all over the world wide web!
However, I am sharing a little something that my daughter made for the big event. She whipped up an "itinerary" for the sleepover! Did you catch that? My very routine-orientated little girl wrote up a "sleep over schedule"!
I had no clue that she'd done such a thing until she asked me to play outside in the sprinkler. Mind you, it's still technically winter around here...even though the temperatures say summer! I told her to wait since it was still a bit cool. She gasped and said "But mom, my SCHEDULE says we're supposed to be outside and playing in the sprinkler right now!"
I didn't really get it at that point. She came back a little while later and asked to play in the sprinkler again. I told her to wait just a little longer to which she shouted "My SCHEDULE says we're supposed to be laying in the sun drying off!"
This is when she handed me her "sleepover itinerary"! I was in shock! Oh, my...that's all I can say.
Of course, I had to include the "schedule" in the layout for last week. I LOVE adding "extras" like that!
Capture the moment...that's the best part of PL.
Enough rambling...here's the layout for Week 11 without the inserts.
Left side... *Note: Our daughter decided to go gothic for a moment...hence the black lipstick and silver eyeshadow. Don't worry. It was only for a few minutes! I think she even scared herself!
Right side...

ReplyDeleteI love the ric-rac you used. So fun! Your pages look great. I think most of us knows what it's like to take so many pictures and then get frustrated by not being able to use them. I've really tried to keep to two pages each week and some weeks that's really hard. Your pages look great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm a little bit obsessed with ribbon...espeically ric-rac! I've been letting one of my kids help decide which pictures to use each since I have trouble making decisions. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOh that sleepover schedule is adorable - that's just the sort of thing my daughter used to do when she was younger (and pre-PL so I haven't got it documented). So cool that you'll have this to look back on. Fab photos too!
